Sharks hockey plans
Hello Shark parents and players!
The Sharks have decided to take a short break from hockey this spring and concentrate on some off the ice matters. Please stay tuned in the coming weeks and months for more information regarding changes and events.
Since we are not going to be on the ice in the short term, we would like to direct those who would like ice time to the Bloomington Youth Hockey program. BYH has spring skill sessions, power skating sessions and goalie clinics starting this week through May 19th if you are interested in any of those. See times and cost at https://www.bloomingtonyouthhockey.com/home
Those interested in attending a summer camp, please refer to the following link.
If we are contacted by a number of parents or players that there is interest in attending a camp this summer, we will be happy to help coordinate that to get a group of players to the same camp.
We will be adjusting more things starting in June but our plan for the summer is to not start most on or off ice sessions until the first week of August. We already have some plans in place for doing a little more than usual in August and September before Tryouts take place.
In June, we will be getting some information out about bringing back what we referred to as our "Friday night" scrimmages. These should be available to all high school aged players but we need to work out all the details. Also, the Friday night may change to a different night of the week and we'll communicate that when we have it.
Additionally, we will not hold Tryouts this year until the 3rd week of September and we are planning to hold those during the week. We will then form teams very shortly after in hopes of scheduling teams in a pre-season tournament before the start of our league season in late October/November.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to myself, or any other coach or board member.
